Welcome to Mrs. Martz's Earth Science course!
Last week, when we went over our syllabus, we discussed the topics we will be covering this school year. Please tell me what topic you are most excited to learn about. Include why you are excited and anything you might already know about the topic!
Im interested in Plate Tectonics because I find it interesting that the earth's plates move and cause some natural disasters like Earthquakes and Tsunami's. I still want to know why the move and how they move. Mabey because of the Earth's core?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in Plate Tectonics because I find it very interesting and amazing that all of natural land features like moutains, valleys and canyons form. I think I will love this lesson. I want to know how they move. Maybe because of Earth rotating?

ReplyDeleteI am most excited about learning about about animals they are so amazing on how they help us. Even the nasty ones like flies. I allready know that they are nasty and craw on are food but they help us find out a murder by going on the body.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in plate tectonics because I've heard a little bit about them, but I don't know exactly what they are. I believe that there were plates in the Earth that move and shift, and I've seen a little bit about them on the History Channel.

i think space and the solar system are the coolest when ever I hear its going to be clear I get up at around 5:00 grab my telescope and go outside. Its so clear because not so many lights are on outside. It can get cold but man its worth it.

ReplyDeleteIm interested in learning about the solar system because there is so many things i still want to know about the solar system. Like how planets were formed, ect. I remember learning about all the planets and stars and how everything revolves the sun. I am excited to learn more this year.

ReplyDeleteI am also interested about that Anthony..Do you think its true about 2012 and the sun blowing up. I dont know if i berlieve it, but i heared that it's suppose to happen one day and that we wont be able to survive without it.

ReplyDeletei am interested in space because it seeems like whenever sceinctists look at space or travel there they find something new and that's what i like about it. Space is full of wonder and and excitment and i find that interesting.

ReplyDeleteJenna I think its also amazing that they formed everythin from the seas to the mountains. But I don't think its because of the rotation of the earth. I think its the earths core because its made from magma and rock and its swirlng so it kinda moves the rocks and minerals.

ReplyDeleteI am interested in learning about the solar system. I've always thought that space was an exciting subject to learn about. In 5th grade we studied space a little bit, but not a lot. We mostly learned about earth's rotation, which was not very exciting. I would like to learn about the other planets in the solar system.

I am really excited to learn about the solar system and the planets. I remember learning about the solar system and I was really interested. Learning about the planets rotations' is one of the solar system topics I like the most.

Im excited about the solar system and astronomy too because i think its amazing how a star can be millions of years old! Its crazy, and very fascinating!
ReplyDeleteRachel and Keegan I feel the exact same way! Even when i was little I lovvvved looking at sky at night and looking at the stars and I always thought I would see another planet up there!
ReplyDeleteWe have had a very hectic start to the year. Currently we are investigating the reasons for the day - night cycle and why we have seasons in the northern hemisphere. Keep observing the moon. We will need this in about a week
