I really dont think that if we create sand dunes it will help becuase if the waves take away regular sand then it will probably take down a sand dune and also if we build those up they have to be pretty tall so how will we get to the ocean.

The only problem is, is that over time, that wall could erode away too! Would I be willing to help? Yes,but not a lot. I mean, I didn't grow up living right along side the beach and I don't live near this beach. I wouldn't want to help physically, but I would donate anything I could to help the cause. I go to a beach ever summer, so I know how important that is for California. They're whole economy basically relies on beaches.

Beach erosion is when waves take away the sand and rocks. A parking lot and bike path is being ripped up and moved farther from the sea. It will be replaced by rocks and sand that will allow the ocean to flow naturally. And they are trying to get sand dunes to build up so it will be able to provide as a natural barrier between the houses and the ocean. Of course I would be willing to help but the plans they have to save the beaches are more of mother earth work and there is not much we can do.
