Did the Discovery shuttle launch on Friday? How would you feel about going up in space knowing a shuttle had technical difficulty before the launch?
If you were to go up in space would you prefer to do the work from inside the shuttle or would you want to be one to go outside the space craft and do the space walk?
What are yoru thoughts?

Going into space knowing there was a problem would be a problem i mean you could die or you could be stranded up there for a while. If i went into space i would so rather go outside i mean you are hooked up and it would be so much fun i mean you could tell all you freinds that you went into sapce and went outside. No it did not launch because of all ther weather conditions.
I agree with drew i mean it is pretty cool that they got a robot that walks like a human.
i agree with tony i would like going outside but also being in that space ship with glitches would be bad like as tony said youcould die or be stranded
If i was going to be launched into space after my shuttle had technical difficutilties i woul not want to go and i would never want to go again. I would want to work in the shuttle because i would be scared that if i as out in space i would float away.
The speace shutle got delayed the for the forth time thursday due to weather. Heavy rain early Thursday buffeted Florida's Kennedy Space Center. And this happened after early glitches that postponed the launch three times earlier in the week were resolved. Discovery's 11-day mission was originally scheduled for November 1. Its all-American six-member crew, including female mission specialist Nicole Stott, will deliver a pressurized logistics module called Leonardo, which will be permanently attached to the space station to provide more storage space. The shuttle will also bring Robonaut 2, the first human-like robot in space and a permanent addition to the orbiting space station, as well as spare parts.

No the shuttle didnt launch. iif iii was ggiong into space and knew there was a problem i would have second thoughts i mean i could die or could be stranded up there for a while. If i went into space i would so rather go outside
the shuttle didnt go up on friday beacause of the weather.if i was going into space with a space shuttle that was having technical difficulties i woluld feel very weired and worried because i would be scared something bad would happen.i would want to go outside to see the sights of space and to do the space walk because it would be a little thrilling and fun at the same time.
I would feel scared and woried. Because i might not see my family again. No it got delayed. I would rather do the space walk because its once in life time.

no beacuse heavy rain thursday buffeted the kennedy space center where discovery had already been put out to the launchpad after glitches that stoped the launch three times.

It did NOT launch on Friday. It's like as if the weather did not want to launch the Discovery. If I knew that the shuttle had a techincal difficulty, I would just delay the flight, and fix the problem. I wouldn't care if it would delay the launch, saftey before science. I would prefer to get out of the shuttle and hit a few golf balls. Actually I would play a bit of Moon Rock Tennis. Or even Intergalactic baseball. I plan on putting a few balls into orbit. Honestly, space crafts are essential to us, due to the fact of our pollutants. Mabey we can escape this planet and move to a different one. BUT only solar cells and other green energy savers, FLOUROCENT BULBS ONLY PEOPLE!!! If we keep this up and not find a way to fix up that Ozone, we are toast LITERALLY! So keep it up NASA! Launch as many birds as you can before Oboma cut off the funds!
I also agree with drew again i would be very nervous that it had to be fixed professionals.
No, the discovery shuttle did not launch on Friday. The shuttle was supposed to launch on monday but got held back four times because of heavy rain and bad weather. Since some repairs could not be made to the shuttle the date was pushed back to late november at the earliest. I would feel really scared and worried if I knew the shuttle had technical difficulty before it launched bacause something could go wrong with the shuttle and you may not get back down on land. I would like to go outside the space craft because I think it would be neat to actually see what it looks like on the outside.
I agree with Ted;
I would be very scared of not seeing my family again.
I agree with anthony it would be fun to go into spacenoutside because you are sucured to the shuttle. and you could make everyone jelous
The final scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery was delade again because of the weather. I would be really scared to go up knowing a shuttle had technical difficultys. I would be scared even if it didnt though. If i went up i would want to be the one going outside because if i go up there i would want it to be worthwhile.
The space shuttle did not launch on friday.The crew noticed a hydrogen leak early Friday morning, as they fueled the shuttle to launch.
After a few setbacks last week, officials thought it could lift off Friday afternoon from Cape Canaveral. Then, when repairs could not be made, this date was pushed back to the end of November, at the earliest. NASA engineers also discovered a seven-inch crack in the foam of the external fuel tank. They say, even if the launch hadn't been dismissed, this would likely have delayed it. I'm kinda worried, what if something goes wrong while the shuttle is going up into space?Uhm...thats hard, they both sound fun. Inside the shuttle you won't have to wear all that equipment you would have to wear outside, and you don't have to hold you pee...but outside you can see all of the the space in real life and I think it would be a waste to go up to space but not being able to go out of the space craft.
i agree with brendan because i would have second thoughts because i wouldnt want to die in space.
Adam Lyons
I agree with Ted;
I would be very scared of not seeing my family again.

The final scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery in a museum was delayed for a fourth time Thursday due to bad weather. The latest in a series of delays for orbiter's mission to the International Space Station.
Heavy rain early Thursday delayed Florida's Kennedy Space Center where Discovery had already been rolled out to the launchpad after early glitches that postponed the launch three times earlier in the week were resolved.
"There is a no go for 24 hours because of the weather," a person at Kennedy Space Center said.
Launch is now set for 3:04 pm Friday, with weather forecasts showing a 60-percent chance of favorable conditions, the US space agency said.
Sean,
What if you fixed the problem but then it happened again before you launched? I would delay the launch a little while before it actually launched so I could make sure nothing else went wrong.
I aggree with Adam and Brenden because i would probably be excited at first but when i get up there i would be scared to die or even be stranded in space.
No it was delayed due to weather. I would be frustrated because of how much time it would be before we could launch again. I would rather be outside working in space. It would be fun for me to go into space. I agree with Drew bringing a robot would be cool.
If the shuttle was having technical difficultys before launch i dont know if i'd go. I'd be scared something would happen right when it was launched or on its way up.If i were to go up to space i'd want to work outside. I wouldn't want to spend my hole time in the shuttle, i think it would be very cool to see whats outside of the shuttle and see things you haven't seen before. I am wondering when the discovery shuttle launcher? i haven't seen anything other than it was changed to Friday becouse of Thursdays weather conditions.
i agree with drew and how its cool they have a robot. aloso i agree with sean majorly expessialy the last few sentences.
The shuttle did not launch Friday, because they found a leak in the shuttle, and the earliest launch date would be around Nov. 30th. I would feel nervous and 100% scared about launching with a difficulty in the shuttle. I would not feel very good about the idea to fly into space alreading knowing there has been technical difficulties. If I had the oppertunity to go into space I would prefer to go outside the space craft and walk around. It would be the experience of a lifetime and whenever I see or hear anything about space walking it sounds like a lot of fun to do. Although I wouldnt want to go out there alone, I would always want a partner or someone to go outside the craft with me. My thoughts of the launch are that I would be a nervous reck to go up into space with my shuttle having technical difficulties, what if something happens? You never know, and if I were one of them I would deffinetly think about getting it fixed before launch.
I agree with breaden I would have second thoutes about going in space.
By: Ted Young
@stephani,
I don't think it was because of the weather on friday. From what i read it was because of a hydrogen leak and a 7-inch crack in the foam of the external fuel tank...
it was mest up by weather.im glad no one died because of it. and their was a robot that helped. they should have been more carful and waited until the bad weather was over.
~Daniel O'Hearn
No it did not launch do to the bad weather and was postponed 3 other times before this.I think i would be nervious if it had other technitcal problems because something could go wrong and it might not launch correctly. i would want to be outside and floting in space because it would be fun and we could get to put on a cool space suit.
I agree with Stephine and Drew, making a robot for space seems exteremly cool, but I wonder what it would do? Would it move around and capture images? Or would it be like a satalite?
Yes O'Leary, the fun of the spacewalk. Even Oboma had to admit that, bt sadly he was thinking of shrinking the funds. Apparently we need more for 'IMPORTANT' stuff. More of like a million dollar raise in his paycheck. But anyways, vote against Democrats and we can keep up NASA from the terror of Oboma. But one dis advantage is that possibly everytime a rocket goes up, a bit of Ozone goes up with it. But again LAUNCH AS MANY AS YOU CAN BEFORE OBOMA GETS THE MOOLAH!
i agree withv drew it is prety cool that a robot acted like a hunman.
~Daniel O'Hearn~
CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (AFP) – The final scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery before being mothballed in a museum was delayed for a fourth time Thursday due to bad weather and it is not launched until 3:04 pm. Friday.
by lexy jones
i agree withv drew it is prety cool that a robot acted like a hunman.
~Daniel O'Hearn~
Deborah,
I agree with you. It would not really be worth going up in space if you did not go outside the space craft. I would also worry about having to go to the bathroom. Haha.
The final scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery in a museum was delayed for a fourth time Thursday due to bad weather, the latest in a series of delays for orbiter's mission to the International Space Station.Heavy rain early Thursday buffeted Florida's Kennedy Space Center where Discovery had already been rolled out to the launchpad after early glitches that postponed the launch three times earlier in the week were resolved.
Launch is now set for 3:04 pm Friday, with weather forecasts showing a 60-percent chance of favorable conditions, the US space agency said.
wow that stinks that they where delayed so long.If I was going into space would want to stay in side because I would feel safer.I thought it was cool because the robot that is like a human.
the space shuttle that was supposed to launch didnt end up launching because of the weather conditions. i think it would be fun to fly up in space knowing it was safe, but not knowing it would be safe or not i would be very nervous. what kind of weather conditions would it have to be for you to launch off. if the weather conditions were perfect would they still launch off or would they move the time again.
YAHANZ VELASQUEZ
@ Drew
i think i would still be worried because if they missed the problems while they made it what else could they have missed and not fixed?
The shuttle did not launch Friday, because they found a leak in the shuttle.The earliest launch date would be around Nov. 30th
I would feel very scared and worried knowing that a shuttle that you were supposed to go in had difficulty before the launch.I would feel that because if something went wrong then I could die or get seriously injured.
I would want to work inside the shuttle half of the time because I would be way to scared to go out first.I would only go outside the shuttle if somebody else went out first and everything went smoothly.The other half of the time I would want to go outside the shuttle because its a once in a lifetime experience.I wouldnt want to waste it because Im too scared.
Some of my thoughts about the shuttle is how long do the astraunauts have to train to go into the shuttle? Also how do the families of the astraunauts cope knowing that one of their loved ones is in serious danger?
Deborah i agree with you. What if something did go wrong with the launch because of the technical difficultys. I dont think i'd go on or i would just wait for them to check iot a couple of times. I also agree how you'd probably would have to wear a lot of equitment if you worked out side the shuttle but i would probably still do that because i think the work inside would be bored.
I agree with Abby Brenden and Adam because i would also be scared to die in space..
By lexi joness(:
i agree with abby and lexy because i would be really scared to die in spaace
@Megan,
I think they should do the same. SInce they found a leak in the shuttle, they should delay it longer and maybe test the shuttle before launch. They shouldnt risk it because the shuttle could leak again and even break down. Its better to be safe than sorry.
The Space shuttle was supposed to launch on November 1, 2010 but there was a delay due to weather. It was schedualed for last friday but did not launch. Itis now due for December 1st and will only be a 3 day mission instead of a 11 day mission. When they launch they will send up something called a Leanardo to make extra space. Also they are going to bring the space stations 1st perminant robot. Also they did not launch because of a hydrogen leak. I hope the launch is succesful when they get to launch it.
@sean
If you were to play sports at the moon, Instead there is less gravity in space would the balls you hit float somewhere else in space? and I wonder what would happen to them?
I would not want to go into space when the shuttle was haveing technical difficulties. I would want to work outside of the shuttle because I would be able to be in the middle of space. I think that it would be cool to go into space as long as the ship was not haveing technical difficulties.
I agree with Anthony because I think it's awesome that they can make a robot that is like a human. Soon they wii be for sale.
@ Drew:
Drew the shuttle didnt launch on Friday because the crew found a hydrogen leak when then were fueling up the shuttle not because the weather was bad.
I agree with you about how you were feeling and I never thought of that the shuttle was fixed by true professionals.Thats a good reason but I think I would still be very scared and worried/nervous.
Thats really cool about the robot and how it walks.
i agree with tony and drew i would like to go out in to space and the robot sounded cool
i agree with evan and want to stay inside because it is safer. and i also think they deleyed that shuttle launch too long
YAHANZ VELASQUEZ
Megan and Deborah;
I agree and think that the whole point of going up to space is to explore. If you just stay in the shuttle you cant really experience space and actually moon walk and float. To experience zero-gravity must be the best feeling ever, and if you dont go out there then you might not ever get to experience that or walking on the moon either. You would get to actually see the whole solar system right in front of you outside the craft, but it wouldnt be the same working on the inside.
The shuttle did not launch on Friday. It was dleayed once again due to weather. It was going to be the fourth and final flight of the year, but it is now getting delayed to the end of November. It had been launched late because of technical difficlties and then weather delays. I would not like to have gone in that space shutttle after it had all those technical difficulties.
I would be very nervous going into space, and the rocket having technical difficulties would probably make me have a heart attack before we would leave. I didn't like the simulators in space camp so, I probably wouldn't like flying in a rocket either.
I would probably like to do work from the inside, because the space suits don't look very comfy. But I would also enjoy taking pictures from space on the outside. I don't think that I would like to do work that was super important like repairing telescopes. I would probably be to scared that I would mess up.
I think that it is pretty ccool what some astronauts do but it would not be for me. I don't like being in tight spaces and I would probably be freaked out by no gravity. I also think that it would be hard to be in space with a bunch of people I didn't know that well for almost 2 weeks IN SPACE!!!
Yes it is terrible to die in space. But yet no one will hear you scream. Problem. So basically a million things can go wrong. Proven fact from Apollo 13. But unless you want us all to fry, VOTE AGAINST OBOMA!!!!!!!
@ Sydeny, I don't know when the space shuttle launched, I am wondering the same thing, but I would think that they would wait a little bit to check the rocket again for technical difficulties.
@ Drew, I agree with you that I would be worried about the rocket and it's technical difficulties. I don't think I would go after they discovered the difficulties.
no, the space shuttle did not launch because a hydrogen leak was found.the final launch the was scheduled was delayed for teh fourth time after being mothballed in a museum. the heavy rain thursday morning buffeted the space center where dicovery had already been rolled out on the launchpad with the glitches that had been resloved earlier that week. a spokesman at the space center stated that there will be a no go for 24 hours due to the weather. the space agency said that the launch is now set for 3:04 pm on friday.
i would never go into the space shuttle if there was technical difficutlies before hand. i would be too scared.
i would rather do work on the inside of the shuttle and not the outside because i wouldnt want to leave the sapceship.
If a ball did float off into space, it would just keep going, there is no gravity, so there is no friction, its like the Energizer(trademark) commercial it keeps going and going and going and going and going and going...(ECT)
Vaive you are NEVER safe from hazards in space. Again a thousand things can go wrong, air loss, broken fuel gage, increase of gravity, so don't put your trust in a machine Vaive.
no the shuttle didnt launch.
i think it would be cool going into space watching the sun rise and sunset every 45 minutes.
and to see the world from a diffrent angle. and to see what space and our universe looks like.
jr miller
No it was set for monday.I would be scared if it had problems before launch.I would be inside because I would feel safe but outside would be fun like Drew Vaive said.My thoughts are stars because space has a lot of them.
Yet again the shuttle did not blast off because of weather conditions. I would love to be in the shuttle and go up in space even though the shuttle had technical difficultys because its a once in a lifetime chance. I would love to get outside the space shuttle so I could explore space and to get out of that tiny space.
uh lets see stay in a safe space shuttle with oxygen or walk out in space where you would be lost for ever just to do the space walk.........SPACE WALK
I would agree with Drew Vaive.I am scared of a lot of stuff and I am catious.
No, it didn't launch. If I knew that the shuttle had technical difficulties before the lauch I would probably be really nervous that something else would go wrong. Being me I would probably want to do the work from the inside of the shuttle but I think it would also be really cool to do work outside of the space craft.
No, the shuttle was not launched on Friday, it was delayed for the 4th time on Thursday, so it was supposed to be launched on Monday.& If I knew that the shuttle had technical difficultys before the lauch, I'd be scared to death, and worried because you would never know if you would be back on Earth again. I would definatly want to go outside of the space craft and do the space walk, that would be awesome to be in space and just float in the air !, Hah.
-Corissa Sturm,(:
no it didnt launch friday. i wouldnt not really even want to go up when it was perfect so i would be really worried. i would like to do both i would like to stay inside for a little but then get out of the small space and get into space. i would like to be able to go up there but i would like to be able to get down any time i wanted to in no time.
I agree with drew it would be kinda scary going up when its been broke and fixed but still broke.
no the shuttle didn't launch on friday because of the rain and weather. the new time for the launch is this friday at 3:04pm. having a technical difficulty before going up would scare the crap out of me honstly i would rather stay on earth. i would walk around because i think it would be so much fun to jump on the moon and no gravity!!!!!
kelly rogers
If I had to go up into space knowing that the spacecraft was having technical dificulties, I would want to cuddle up in a corner~! I mean...that's pretty scary, and what if you died on the space ship? I would DIE if all that happened.
No the shutle did not launch because of bad eather and heavy rain.I would never ever go into space knowing my shuttle had technical difficulty before the launch because i would think i would die. I would like to do both because i want to walk in space and work in the shuttle.
David Meiners
i agree with you ethan i wouldnt want to go up i would barly want to go up if it was perfect. i would be scared it could like stop going up when we werent in space and then we would just fall down.
No the shuttle did not launch on Friday. It was delayed. If there were difficulties on the shuttle I would not want to go in it.I would rather work out of the space craft.
i wouldve launched it anyway.....unless it was more of a storm....thats a different story.
it didnt launch friday cause of tech difficulties. i wouldve been worried to to be launched inside cause what if it would malfuntion up in space or in the atmosphere?
@ Madison,
I know what you mean ! I'd love to go up in space and go outside to a zero-graviation place, I think that it would be the best thing ever to happen. I say we take a feild trip there, ahah.
-Corissa Sturm,(:
i agree with you sean vote against obama!!!!! plus i dont know what that has to do with space but i totally agree with you. im just putting that out there.
kelly rogers
Tony i agree with you that it would be fun to go out side in space because your hooked up and can tell all your freinds.
David Meiners
Drew even though it was fixed by professionls i would still be scared to go up there alon.
The space shuttle launch was delayed for a second time on Friday. The launch was delayed due to weather conditions. I would be very worried. I wouldn't even go, nope I would not! I would be WAY too freaked out! If I did decide to go into space, I would probably stay inside the shuttle because I wouldn't feel safe outside on a place other than Earth. I would observe from the inside but I'm sure, maybe I would decide to go out of the shuttle but being realistic, I wouldn't go in the first place because of the technical difficulties so I wouldn't be doing either.
The space shuttle did not launch on friday. I dont know if I would want to go into space knowing that the shuttle had technical difficulty before launching, it would deffinatly make me nervous. I woulds rather do the space walk than be inside the shuttle the whole time because i think it would be more interestig.
i agree with lexi it would be bad to die in space because no one can find your dead courpse
It did not launch on Friday because of weather. I would be worried to know that there were problems with the shuttle because nobody can help us in space. I would not want to work outside because if I tear my suit, the vacuum would kill me. I would rather work on the inside where its safe. A human-like robot would be AWESOME!!! I saw something on the news where the had a n extremely human-like robot. I thought it was real at first. It was cool.

@Megan,
I agree. Since they found a leak in the shuttle, they should delay it longer and maybe test the shuttle before launch. They just shouldnt risk it.
No it did not launch it was delayed once again.I would be a little concerned about launching after having technical difficulty because you could be stuck in space or could have just blown up.I would preffer to be outside instead of inside any day because I wouldnt want to be messing things up inside.
i agree with drew because not only is he the only one i can see next to where im typing but cause i wouldve known that the schuttle was being fixed by pros and thewy know what they are doing and no one should be worried but i still wouldve been.
i agree with ted i would be so scared to leave my family. plus there are so many problems i would be so scared.
kelly rogers
I agree with Lexi because I would be really scred to die in space.
No it did not it was delayed to the end of November, on the 30th,or at the very least december
5th. One reason it was delayed was they found a leak in it, so if it was not delayed there would be astrounats in space who have the posobility of dying. If i went to space with a damaged space craft i would panic and be very scared i would not want to think what would happen. I propabably do the outside work because i would taake on the adventure and be brave, I would do the space walk. Also if I did get scared of being outside of it I would probably change my mind and do the inside work. I absolutely love to go to space but at the same time I would be a little scared.
- Michael Van Schoik
i would feel nervous and mad because all that time for traning and you were ready so i would be mad go in space cause that is one in a lifetime experince christian bond
@ Drew that is cool that they are bringing up a robot that walks like a human
I agree with Anthony, I wouldn't go into space because if there were technical difficulties, it could cost you your life. I know it's a one in a lifetime chance to go into space but i don't think it's worth risking your life.
@Brendan Mcwilliams:
I would not like to go outside because if the cable breaks, they can't get me back easily. Also, if I tore my suit I would die in a few seconds. I would rather be safe inside the shuttle with the awesome robot.
Posted By: Sam Tendam.
It wasnt launched friday because of wether again.i would be a little scared to go since they had glitches,but i would trhink that they would be able to fix them. i think i wouldnt be able to go inb space without freaking out about getting killed in space that would really suck. it would also be cool to go in space to see what it be like.i would also like to watch a space launch.
~Kailey Carter~
I agree with Drew I would be scared even though the giltches would be fixed by professtionals.
~Kailey Carter~
I would not go up in space knowing that my shuttle was having technical difficulties because i would have the worst thoughts like I would be stranded up in space or lose my oxygen supply. the shuttle did not launch on friday due to a gas leak and it's scheduled to launch on Nov. 30. I would want to be on the inside of the shuttle I would feel the most safe inside.
Jarod Francis
it would be so cool to go to space but i would be kind of scared because of some of the problems like if it got on fire. but it had to stink that the take off was delayed becuase of the weather.
the post obove this one is taylor roberts
the launch was delayed again untill at least november 30 because of a hydrogen leak. i would be afraid to go in to the shuttle after all the technical difficultys it had but i would still probably want to go into space. i think i would want to go on a space walk just for fun but i would want to work inside the space craft because if the space suit gets a tare in it i would probably die floating in space.
where is the hydrogen leak on the space shuttle?
candi sheehan
Ethan, I agree completely, if the space craft had technical difficulties I also would not want to go again, becausewhat if everyone thought it was fixed but in reality it might not really fixed.
- Michael Van Schoik
ya i agree wit drew i would be worried and mad cause of the weather the robot would be cool christian bond
Drew, I can understand that even though I would be scared I WOULD HAVE To consider the fact that profesionals are fixing it so that would make me not as scared.
- Michael Van Schoik
i thought that the launch was delayed because of a hydrogen leak not because of the weather again as drew vaive said
candi sheehan
I am worried too Debrah, I am fascinated your response had some things that i didn't know. I knew there was a crack in the space ship but I didn't know it was 7 inches, it sounds small but I'm sure it woulde cause suvire problems.
- Michael Van Schoik
No, it didn't launch because early Friday Morning they found a major gas leak in the shuttle. I would be completely freaked out/scared. I wouldn't want to go up in Space ever again. Do the work inside the shuttle. Because, you wouldn't even get me up in Space and to me its easier just to do all the work in the Shuttle.
No. It was stopped for bad weather. If I were going up in space in a rocket wth technical difficulties, I would be scared for my life. I would probably not want to go either. Even if the rocket didn't have techinical difficulties. I would want to do the outside work! I would want to go into space to see what if feels like! My thoughts? hm... my thoughts are that I am never going to go to space, probably. Maybe when I'm like, 80 years old and people have started taking vacations to mars. My other thoughts are that I will never work for NASA.
I would have to pee my pants that would be really scary going up into space knowing that somethings wrong. the space ship did launch on friday. I think it would be fun to walk around on the moon but I would feel really important working on the ship so either one sounds good to me!
No. it was delayd because of the weather.i would not like to go up into space knowing that something could go wrong.i would rather be on the ooutside of the space craft because you could be free and not in a tight space.
Space shuttle Discovery was not able to launch on Friday because of weather once again. I think that sucks because that is their second last mission to do. Plus, I'm worried about the glitches because they could get to the point where they're permanent and nobody will ever fix them.
-Emily Heckman :)
Commeenting on Drew Vaive's 5:26am Post-
I don't agree with you because it didn't launch because of the weather again it was delayed because of the major gas leak.
@ Christian bond:
yeah me too. I would be really nervous and probably mad too. Because you would have been training for the trip to space for a long time, and then you find out there's something wrong with the rocket, so you can't go.
I agree with Ted Young I would definetely be scared and worried.
i agree with PAPATHANAS,ANTHONY i wouldnt want to go in space knowing that i could die in space and them to never find me.
The Discovery Shuttle Did Not Launch On Friday. It Was Delayed Because Of The Weather Again. If I Went To Space And I Knew That We I'm Not Going There Now Cause It Could Be Very Dangerous And I Don't Want Nothing Bad To Happen. Other Than That Would Definely GO!!!!!!!! BLAST OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~Kristin Murphy<3
Ever since I was little kid, I always wondered what it would be like to go in space. I now know that space shuttles can often be cramped. I just found out that you could die in there and no one could possibly find you. That part actually worries me quite a bit...
-Emily Heckman
@ Drew vaive:
There are probably hazards and stuff inside too. I wouldn't know what because I'm not an astronaut, but I know stuff can go wrong inside too. But based on what you said, the inside is probably more safe!
No. it did not launch on friday due to a gasoline leak. (thats what i found.) I would feel pretty uneasy if i new it had a technical difficulty before the launch. I would prefer to work inside the shuttle because I was NEVER one for heights. I think that it is very cool that they are sending a humanoid robot into space. I once saw a robot that was controled by a person wearing gloves and a suit that acted as a sensor.
no the launch did not happen it was delayed again because they had found a leak.

The space shuttle was not launched due to an oil leak. Sciencetists aim to launch ot by November 30th. If I was launched on a space shuttle that had problems I would not be a happy space camper.
~Charlie Freudemann~
It did not launch because it was delayed because of the weather.I would be very worried but I already know that the scientistes will fix it.I would be so scared to go in a space shuttle that has technical difficulties because I don't want to get hurt/injured.I don't want to be inside or outside because neither are safe, If I'm outside I might float away and in the inside, the shuttle might lose power and we all die it's so not Coolio.My thoughts are I'm never going into space NEVER, EVER, NEVER, EVER.
no, it was posponed until friday because of the bad weather.i would feel doughtful and a little nervous if the shuttle had technical difficulty before the launch.i would like to go outside and do the spacewalk because it would be a one and a lifetime expirence.i think that the shuttle re- launching was posponed until the 1st of december.
No the shutle did not launch. I would be scared a little bit but I would be glad that Im going up there. I would stay inside because it sounds cooler. Overall I think I might go up in space.
I agree with sydney I would not go on the ship.
They didn't launch because they was really bad. I would never want to go to space because I wouldn't want to get stuck in space.
No the shutle did not launch. I would be scared a little bit but I would be glad that Im going up there. I would stay inside because it sounds cooler. Overall I think I might go up in space.
To joey. would you ever go in space for anything.
1.The space shuttle did not launch on Friday, because of a fuel leak found in a pipe which connects the Hydrogen tank. The launch has been cancelled til the end of November.
2.I would be very nervous to go up the space shuttle knowing it had all these techical difficulties. I would have to know for sure that the shuttle was secure and safe for me to travel in.
3.If I went up into space i would perfer to work on the inside of the space shuttle, it would make me kinda nervous to be outside wondering the moon or another plant or even just floating around. Maybe if I worked up enough courge to I would but I would rather work on the inside of shuttle.
4. Its a good idea to cancell the launch until the end of November, the space craft needs to be examined to make sure its safe for people to travel in.
@Kailey Carter, I found that the space launch was deleyed because of a fuel leak. I did not see anything about weather though, could it be both? Where did u find your information?
No, the space shottle didn't lanch into space Friday because of a hytogen gas leak and cracks near the widseld. I would feel sick and queisy going up into space knowing that there was a problem with the space shuttle. If I was to dicide wether to repair the shuttle from the inside or outside I would choose to do it from the inside. The reason is that to me it wouldn't matter because you would be floating, but inside you would't run out of air. Also the inside because if the cord from the out side breaks you will be floating in space forever while inside you would be safe protected by a wall.
Alex Richmond
SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Amanda,
I agree with you It was delayed from a gas leak not the weather I was looking at the wrong search!Keep on beeing COOLIO!!!!
<3 Abbey <3
i agree with abbey builterman,i would be really scared, but i would still go because even if you died, poeople could remember you as the person who died on mars or some other plantet
To drew vaive. I would a like to be inside would you also like to be outside i would but i would rather be outside to
i agree with you tony i would be scared in space and die and now ody would ever find my body
-Dylan Humbert
i think that would be cool if they created a robot that could walk like a human to drew.
-Dylan Humbert
@ caleb hudson
I think that they could most definitely track you just in case something does happen. But you have a point of why you wouldnt go on a spacewalk.
I agree charlie I wouldn't be very happy either knowing that there were problems with the shuttle.
Alex richmond
no it was delayed again because of weather. I would feel nervous but excited because I would b e going into space. I would rather be inside because then I wouldn't have a chance of floating away. Ib think that it would be nice to go up into space but it could also be bad if your ship crashes or runs out of fuel.
Ryan Bussard
the launch was delayed because of the rain.
No the shutle did not launch on friday. I would be furious. I would rather do the work inside the shuttle. I don't really have any thoughts about it.
No the shutle did not launch on friday. I would be furious. I would rather do the work inside the shuttle. I don't really have any thoughts about it.
Connor Dace
I would be scared to death to go up in space I would definetly whant to work inside the space ship, id be sooooooooooooo scared!!!
~Beth~
no it was delayed because of weather causes. I wouldn`t be worried even though it was fixed. I would rather go outside onto the ship becouse it is funner.
No it did not launch it was delayed for the forth time because of bad weather.
I would be scared of going into space knowing the shuttle had a technical difficulty, and I would not go at all.
I would stay in the shuttle because I would feel safer
Jennifer Somtrakool
The shuttle was once delayed by weather.I would be kind of worried but then I know professionals fixed it.I would like to be in one knowing I am away from hazards.

No it was supposed to but because of weather hazards it didnt. I would deffenitely be scared and nervous knowing that I was relying on this shuttle that has problems. If I were to go up in a space shuttle at all, I wouldn't step foot outsiide of the space shuttle unless I knew for a fact that it was safe. I'm sure the people that go up there are seeing an awesome view, and it would be amazing to go up as well.
-Kaleigh McCarthy
the reason the space shuttle was delaed is because it was raining if i was an astronat i would not go in a shuttle if it was raining i would go crazy.
Rachel Royer, I agree with you completely!
Discovery shuttle did not launch on friday because of weather issues.
I would be nervous if I went into space on a shuttle that had technical difficulties becuase I might be afraid that something bad might happen while in space or on the way up or down.
If I went to space I would want to be the person who goes outside the space craft and do the space walk because it would be cool to be somewhere else in space besides Earth and it would be cool to look at Earth.
To: Kylie Hayes
I agree with you about staying inside the shuttle rather than going on the space walk. What are your thoughts about this?
-Kaleigh Mccarthy
I argee with Drew I would be worried about the fixes but I know it was fixed by professionals.
Andrew Hudson
the space creaft was delayed agian because of hydrogen leak which lead to electrcal problems and more weather delays to find out how go to this link right here and find out http://cnn.com/video/?/video/education/2010/11/07/sn.1108.cnn
i would want to go to space but i would go in a space craft to observe what is inside the space craft and a would love to do the space walk i think
good job megan the shuttle was still on delay but not just because of bad weather there was hydrogen leak that lead to eletrical problems
@ Katy Nortman
I agree that if it was just raining, I would still launch the shuttle. It it was storming I would launch it when the lightning and thunder stopped even if there was cloud cover.
The shuttle hasn't launched yet because of weather conditions. If I were on a space shuttle I think I would rather be inside where I would be safer. I don't want to be an astronaut because I'm afraid of heights and I don't like the feeling of floating that astronauts feel all the time in space.
The shuttel did not lift off on friday do to weather conditions and glitches in the space ship. I would not want to go in a space ship that had glitches becaues it would be very scary and dangerous. If I were to go into space I would want to go to the space walk because walking in space is more breath taking than only seeing it.
The Discovery did not blast off Friday. I think I wouldbe scared if I was going to space in a shuttle with problems. I woukd probaly want to do work in both space and inside the shuttle.
The shhuttle did not launch on friday because of the weather delay. I would not feel very safe going up in a space shuttle that had technical difficalties. I would like to be inside because you don't have to put on the space sute and then take it off again. I think that going into space wwould be fun, but just not in bad weather.
Actually I agree with Andrew I would like to work on the inside and the outside because I think it mite be fun.
@Deborah Park
Oh, it was a hydrogen leak? I guess i read the article i got my information from was wrong.
Well I guess you're right; it would be a waste to go into space without actually GOING into space. Something that would be really cool to see from space would be the moon because from Earth the moon looks about as big as the sun and there isn't much detail.
@cade harvey
it WOULD be breath taking to go on a space walk,and I would like to know... if you had the chance to see absolutely anything in the universe, what would it be?
I would like to see the thing called the Cloverleaf Quasar.
@Xaiver
The place I would love to go to would be the moon because of the pictures and possibilaties to actunnaly go there would be amazing dont you think?
wow stephanie you think the same thing it wasn't just because of weather problems there was a hygrogen leak like i said before on my blog. and after the hygrogen leak it lead to eletrical problem NOT JUST WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that is for the rest of you who thought it was because of weather issues. it was that and more
@emma cliffe,
i would be scared for my life too if the rocket had technical diffculities. i'' probably never go into space either. but how cool would that be?!
1. No it didn't launch because they found a 7 inch long crack in the insulation and a leak in the hydrogen tank.
2. I would be a little bit more nervous, I mean, who wouldn't??? Technical difficulties have to make people nervous, anything could happen while they were in space but I would just be so excited to go it would be an honor. I think it would be so cool to go to space. I would love to see the Earth in that POV.
3. I would prefer going outside the shuttle. I might as well go all the way if I'm already up there!! Plus, I would love to see how it feels to walk in space!!! Oh and maybe do some Moon Golf??? (: It would definately be the experience of a lifetime.
4. Some of my thoughts are that I would LOVE going to space, I wish I could be the one going into space, I wonder how the astronauts feel to be going to space, and when is the next launch going to be.
Hey mrs.Martz i would be going crazy if i knew i was going into a space shuttle that was having technical difficulties. I would be screaming if i was inside even if i was just sitting in there and it wasnt going to blast off. i would not go in there for anything even if someone payed me a millon dollars. and if for some miracle i would go on and go into space i would want to go out and do the space work outside the farther away i can be from that space shuttle ill do it i woulnt even want to watch it blastoff.NATHAN STENGER
I agree with abby i would be going crazy if i knew that the shuttle had difficulties.NATHAN STENGER
@kyle,
i agree it would be a very tough choice deciding on what i would do. i would love to walk on the moon. it sounds like so much fun. but it would be very important to work on the ship.
@michael,
i would panic and be worried too. i would love to go space. i think it'd be so much fun!
Heavy rain early Thursday buffeted Florida's Kennedy Space Center where Discovery had alredy been rolled out to the launchpad after early glitches that postponed the launch three times newer in the week were resolved!!!!!!!!!! and on to of that its very cool
i agree with sydeny kilgore
i would rather go up in space i mean it might be a once and a lifetime oppurtunity and just working from outside would be boring to me and go up to the moon and that we had tenchinal diffaculties i would be mad because all that time for preparing to go up to space christian bond
no it did not launch on friday it was delayed because of weather.I would be very scared and catious if there was bad weather because something could go wrong and i can be badly injured or die.I would like to do the outside work because i would love to see space and float in the air it would be an awesome experience.I think it would be awesome to go into space.
HUNTER STEIMLE
actually i would agree with freeman i would like to do the work in side and outside i think that would be very fun
HUNTER STEIMLE
i agree with antony u would be stranded up there for a while @ anthony papthonas
i wouldnt br that worrie because it was fixed by proffesinal. i would like to be inside knowing i would be safe but it would also be amazing to be out side to but i wouldnt take no chances. and it would be scary if you floated of into space. jordan harbour
@ Michael Van Schoik:
I agree when you said i would take on the adventure and be brave, I would do the space walk and that if I did get scared of being outside of it I would probably change my mind and do the inside work. I think that is exactly what I would do. But I don't think I would get too scared. I would much rather be brave and have the experience. I would want to do moon golf!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be sooooo fun!!!!!
no the shuttle did not launch do to the weather.i would be excited to be in space but scared knowing there were technaical difficulties. oif i was in space i would rather work inside instead of the outside.also it would be cool to work out side but it would probably be dangerous.
No the shuttle didn't launch on friday because the weather was acting strange and there was a leak. I would not go into space because I would be away from my family and friends, and I would need to get use to space food, and I don't know how easy it would be. I would prefer to go out side and do the space walk.
I agree with Anthony it can be very dangerous because you could die or be stranded up in space. I also agree with stephanie I would be worried if something happened with the tecnecal difficalties.
I agree with Drew Vaive bacause, he tells the truth and gives great detail.
it was delayed because of weather again so no it did not on friday. i would be scared.i would not do either i dont like hights they are scary my thaughts are thats crazy y would u go to spcae after a malfunction
VAIVE DREW :):
PAPATHANAS,ANTHONY:
i agree with them that is cool that they made a robot walk as if it were human
it was delayed because of the weather/rain.
austin tilford
@ Jenna Duebber
You are correct on all answers thats amazing some people don't pay attention to the news unlike you. That is really cool.
No, the shuttle didnt launch. I would not ever want to go up into space with technical difficulties before the launch because if the shuttle doesnt work there is a pretty good chance that you might die. I would probably be to affraid to go on the outside but that would make it more of an experience. I would want to work on the outside:)
My thoughts are if it was delayed so many times why keep trying? Also will it ever go up again?
@Gillian
I agree you would be away from family and friends for along time and I also would want to work from the outside.
No the shuttle did not launch it was delayed since there was bad weather. I would be very nerous and think twice before going into space. Work outside of space since inside I would have to pilot it so there would be a lot of pressure since there lives would be in my hand if I crashed and it would be fun to walk around in zero gravity.
I agree with Drew I would also be nervous. The robot that walks like a human will deffinetly be cool.
The shuttle was delayed due to weather. I would have been worried going into space to begin with, let alone with technical difficulties. I would like to be out on space and do the walk. I think that would be very neat. I hope the space shuttle makes it ok.
I agree with Tony. Going into space with a problem is a problem.
I would like to someday go into space. It probably won't happen but still it would be cool.
