Hurricanes effect our lives, because they can do huge damage do our property, our community, and our peace of mind. Hurricanes form from warm ocean water, winds that go upward, winds that flow above the storm, humid air, and light winds. They are related to tornadoes, because they are both storms and they rotate. The ingrediants for weather are temperature, pressure, volume and density. And i found out that it will maybe thunderstorm and rain all week, except for friday.

hurricanes affect our lives because they can cause severe damage from winds and high waters. hurricanes form from dry weather high winds speed and lots of wet weather over oceans. thunder storms and lightning are formed. the sun warms the earth and the earth warms the air above it this causes a reaction such as lightning and thunder is made from warm air rising and cool air lowers a thunder storm is created

hot day the heat is formed to energy.Energy is then transferred from the Earth to the air just above the surface makes thunderstorms. Lightning happens when the negative charges in the bottom of the cloud are attracted to the positive charges on the ground. they both are a type of storm.

Hurricanes bring heavy rains, high winds, a storm surge, and even tornadoes. They also bring storm surges. Storm surges push water onto the shore during a hurricane flodding near by towns. Hurricanes are really big storms. They can 600 miles across and have strong winds up to 75 to 200 mph. Hurricanes form when the water is warm enough for a hurricane. When a storm has thunder and lightning it is a thunderstorm.

Hurricanes effect our lives by bringing heavy rains, high winds, storm surges and even tornados. Heavy rains and storm surges cause major flooding. High winds cause damage to houses and buildings. Hurricanes are formed by having warm ocean water over 80 degrees Farhenheit and then humid air rising makes the clouds of the storms and then strong winds blow westward off the coast of Africa.
Thunderstorms form by instability in the atmosphere and moisture in the air. Lightning is formed by when negative charges(electrons) in the bottom of the cloud are attracted in the positive charges(protons) in the ground. They are related to tornadoes by thunderstoorms and lightning are the first step in causing a tornado. The ingredients for weather are temperature, pressure, volume and density.

A hurricane is a huge tropical storm. Tremendous amounts of energy get sucked up into swirling winds. These giant wheels of wind can cause serious damage, especially if they reach land. The high tides and churned- up water in a hurricane cause damage too, and sometimes deaths.
Hurricanes usually form in the summer or early autumn when several key atmospheric ingredients come together. Contrary to common belief, many factors other than warm ocean water cause hurricanes to form.
Thunder and lightning form when the negative charge in a cloud gets big enough and it then seeks a path to the ground. Lightning forms when the negative charge streams from the cloud to an object.
They are related to tornadoes because they both cause thunderstorms, heavy rain, high winds, and can cause a lot of damage.
The ingriedients for weather are temperature, pressure, volume, and density.

Hurriscanes affect our lives in many ways. Some of these ways tend to cost people their lives. One way the affect us is by floding coastal areas and it can flood islands. Hurricanes bring along with them high winds, heavy rain and a storm surge, sometimes it can even cause tornadoes. In order for a hurricane to form, it needs warm ocean water warmer than or 80 degrees, humid air and light winds. Lightning forms when the negative charges or the electrons in the bottom of a cloud are atrracted to the positive charges or protons on the ground.Thunderstorms form by the action of cold air rising and cool air cool air sinking (convection), plays a key role in thunderstorm formations. Two important ingredients are moisture and unstable air (instability). They are related because tornadoes are created by or asciated with supercell thunderstorms. THE INGREDIENTS FOR WEATHER:

1. Temperature
2. Preasure
3. Volume
4. Density

Then these ingredients must be combined in the troposphere, then mixed together then you have weather.

Hailey Hoover said...

one way that hurricanes impact our lives is that they bring many hazards. such as, high winds, heavy rains, a storm surge, and sometimes even tornadoes. High winds can move even the largest of things. the power from the winds move things across town. Heavy rains cause flooding. also in inland places too. A storm surge pushes seawater on shore during a hurricane, flooding towns near the coast. all of the above(High winds, storm surge, flooding and tornadoes) cause damage to houses and cars that are in the path of a hurricane. Hurricanes also cause chaos.
A hurricane needs 5 things in order to form. The first one is warm ocean weather. The weather needs to be at least 80 degrees fahrenheit. This provides energy for the hurricane. It also causes more evaporation, making the air humid and forming clouds. The next thing needed for a hurricane to form is winds coming together, fircing air upwards. Also, winds flowing outward above the storm allowing the air below to rise is needed. Humid air riding to make the clouds of the storm is also an important ingredient. The last thing needed is light winds outside the hurricane steering it and let it grow. Hurricanes go through many stages before actually becoming one. the first stage is Tropical Disturbance. The next is Tropical Depression. After that it's the Tropical Storm. Lastly, if the storm makes it all the way to this it is then considered a hurricane. Hurricanes typically form between 5 to 15 degrees latitude north and south of the equator. Then, they thunder across the warm oceans of the world up to higher latitudes.
Lightning occurs when the negative charges (electrons) in the bottom of the cloud are attracted to the positive charges (protons) in the ground. the electric charges accumulated needs to be big enough in order to overcome the properties of air. once this occurs, a stream of negative charges comes down in the direction of a high point where positive charges have clustered together. therefore, a connection has been made and all of the protons rish up to meet the electrons.
There are three different types of thunderstorms; orographic, air mass, and frontal. Orographic thunderstorms are caused by air that is forced up by a mountain or hillside. Air mass thunderstorms are the result of localized convection in an unstable air mass. Frontal thunderstorms occur along the boundaries of weather fronts (e.g. cold front). Warm air rising is very important for thunderstorms to form. If the warm surface air is forced to rise, it will continue to rise, because it is less dense than the surrounding air. In addition, it will transfer heat from the land surface to upper levels of the atmosphere through the process of convection.
Thunderstorms, and lightning are related to tornadoes because tornadoes are associated with large (supercell) thunderstorms that usually grow to over 40,000 feet. A column of warm humid air will begin to rise very quickly. one way the rotation appears to happen is when winds at two different altitudes blow at two different speeds creating wind shear. This causes a horizontal rotating column of air.
If this column gets caught in a supercell updraft, the updraft tightens the spin and it speeds up,a funnel cloud is created. The rain and hail in the thunderstorm cause the funnel to touch down creating a tornado.
The things that need to be mixed together in a certain way for weather are: temperature, pressure, volume, and density. Once all of these things are mixed in the troposphere, you have weather.
To predict weather, you can use this expression; If You Can Hear It, Clear It; If You Can See It, Flee It. the saying means you should take shelter if the time between a lightning flash and the thunder is 30 seconds or less, which means that the lightning is about 5 miles away. (To determine the distance, count the seconds between the flash and the thunder and divide by 5.) Lightning can strike 5-10 miles ahead of the storm, so don't wait until the lightning is upon you to go inside.
