I had never thought a T-rex could have had fethers, how would have known.Well not me of corse I thought they just had scales not fethers

I love T-Rex. I just wonder if there has ever been a stranger creature? Those big heads and small arms make him seem unlikely. It is really interesting the way life is so diverse and beautiful on our planet. Well I would not call T-Rex beautiful, but you know what I mean

I think the T-Rex will not be able to live today because one thing if they were able to live they would be experimented in science labs and be watched carefully they would not be able to roam around freely which all animals need.I was thinking how in the world could a T-Rex could have such a huge head with small arms and then might even have feathers!I think the T-Rex is the most unique dinosaur there ever was.
T-rex's are very cool and yes I think that they would be able to survie in todays world. Because the air would be find there would be enough meat for them to live and theres probably enough lakes and ponds for them to drink out of to live from. I also did not know that Jurrasic park T-rex was based on how it looked. Also I saw a document on discovery about the dinosaurse they were talking how after so long of evolution they satrted to grow feathers not to fly those. They also talked about the astroid that hit earth and how it destroyed the dinosaures it was just a big chain reaction. The plants died so then the plant eaters died then sense they died the carnivores (like the T-rex) started to die from starvation.

I never new T rex had feathers. It is amazing that have found tissue and skin of a T rex sice it ghas been so long. That just shiows that we still have a lot to discover in the future.
I realy like the T-rex's, I think they are really interesting and fun to learn about and look at. Its weird that the T-Rex had a big head, and a big body, but tiny tiny arms; its differnt. I am happy that so many scientists have found more and more reasearch about the big T-Rex, because I really like to learn about the dinosaurs. I think a T-Rex could live today, but I would deffinetly be scared of it. I think it could live because there is tons of open land somewhere that it can roam, or it could be held in a huge zoo place, you never know, if scientists can bring it back to life, I think it could live
I do not think that a T-Rex would be able to live now, like it did 10,000+ years ago. If a T-Rex was created or found, then it would be used in labs, and would not be allowed to roam around, because it might eat people whole for all I know... T-Rexes are a very popular animal, so if anything majorly important was to happen then the word would get around fast, like really really fast!!

Ethan T-Rex's were mean and big but they were nowhere close to a chicken even though some of the T-Rex might of had feathers.I think that there is a possiblity that some of them DID had feathers but nothing like a chicken at all.
I did not know that there was more than a one T-rex spieces and they found 6 in one year thats crazy and whats up with T-rex's always being the bad guy well sure they kill things to live but im sure somewhere deep inside they dont mean it.

I agree with the Rachel about tbem not having enough room for bringing back the T rex. I read about a month ago that scientist found dna of the mammoth and were going try to bring it back but i dont think this is a very good idea because we do not have the type of environment they use to live in anymore or the space.

I dont think the T-Rex would have survived,because when the eath got cold,the ice age, T-Rex would have to have grown fur and blubber to hold its heat, 9 out of 10 lizards were extinct so it would be nearly impossible for them to surive but there are still dinosaurs, they're birds now, the last survivors. I also need to agree with Abbey, this is a remarkable discovery that no one has known before.

ever since i was a kid I loved dinosaurs and my favorite was t-rex. I think it could survive but it would have to eat like 10 people a meal, if they could roam freely . T-Rex was and still is the ultimate preadator. I think t -rex was born with feathers and lost them when they matured. In jurrasic Park the t-rex only was fed a goat. Tha might not even be a snack for a 49' killing machine.
I don't think a t-rex can be alive today because they ruled the earth 125 million years ago and plus the meteor wiped them all out.I don't think a t-rex has feathers because if they had feathers they could fly.

George I'm not calling you out or something but someone having a T-Rex for a pet would be catastrophic. For one a fully grown T-Rex is 49' long and over 20' tall.

Feathers?!?!? What in the world! I didnt know they have feathers....I've seen the movie Jurassic Park it didnt seem as if the T-Rex had feathers! And I dont think that if the T- Rex still lived on today...well I dont know how well that would work out...but I believe that they would be tested just as much as any other animal...I think that most people are more interested in the animal because it's exctict... if it was still living people might be just as interested in any other animal.

i think we should hold the reasearch of the t rex and look more into diffrent dinnosaures. so we can find more simularities with humans. we should also reasearch dna tests to find out if we could ever bring a dino back to life and obsirve their behavural problems.\

I dont get how a dinosaur could have feathers! That's just not right! I cant believe they could have had feathers, that's sooooo weird! But I dont believe for one second that T. rex could live today. They've been extinct for so long, i just dont think that that would ever, EVER happen. To bring T. rex back wouldnt they have to do science experiments with T. rex DNA and stuff? Well if so, i dont think thats -in anyway- possible. I think T. rex are very interesting but not interesting enough to want them back of course! Its crazy that they can gain up to 5 pounds a day! its been thousands of years and we just now find feathers and the reamains of some tissue, but the sad and happy thing is i will never get to see one because its not sophisticated enough though to have avoided extinction. Thankfully

I think that T-rex is probably one of my favorite dinosaurs. I just wonder why it has such tiny arms. If it can't have longer arms, why have arms at all? Even if it fell and tried to get up using it's arms, it wouldn't help.

Jr, i agree about seeing if there are any similarities from dinosaurs to humans but i dont think we should do DNA test with them because i dont think many people would want to encourage scientists to try to bring dinosaurs back to life, that would be pure chaos!
I somewhat agree with Owen. I knew that birds evolved from dinosaurs like T-rex, but I never knew if they had feathers or if they just came up through evolution.

I think it's cool that those paleontologists found t-rex remains. Like that guy said, I would also love to see a t-rex hunting another dinosaur, since they're carnivores.
I don't think T-Rex could survive today because my guess is they need lots of open spaces and large pray. I doubt that there are many spaces big enough in the USA for a T-Rex to survive in the wild and i don't think people will want them in wild life refuges because they would eat the wild life!Farmers won't want the T-Rex eating the cows and sheep, so people will invent wepons to kill them.

Although it would be cool to see the color and size of a t rex I would never wast yo see one in person. T rex might survive today but only if there is blood of one and i REALLY dont think and chance of having one exist is possible, but who knows, there is a chance.

If a Tryanosaurous Rex lived today, life in that area would be lucky to survive a week tops. Then it move around and kill and eat anything that is meat within a 1 mile radius. The T-Rex is most certainly famous. Like the article mentioned, the T-Rex is by far the most popular dinosaur. Perhaps it's so famous because it's one of the deadliest creatures to ever walk the earth. I, however, do not believe that the T-Rex had feathers. HOW in the WORLD was that huge, man-eating terror "evolve" into a small, harmless, bug-eating bird? It goes against logic and my beliefs. I'd love to see the day when scientists get proof that the T-Rex is our modern-day bird.
To be honest I don't think a T rex would be able to survive now because there isn't enough food to feed the dinasour daily. Also the climate may be to hot or cold for the animal. I think a T rex is an awesome creature but I would never want to see in real life.

i would think that a tyranasaurus rex woulen't survive today because i think that it woulden't be used to all its new surroundings. Also, i think its interesting that scientists found feathers of the t-rex. i personally think it would scare alot of people ( including me) is i saw a giant dinasaur running through the streets.
To Marissa and others, I think that you are correct about bringing dinosaurs back. There is a great line in Jurassic Park. "You spent so much thinking about how to bring the dinosaurs back that you never thought if you should" They would not be adapted to the environment and would not be immune to modern diseases

I am really fasinated that the scientists discovered that there might be at least 6 spicies of t-rexes. I alway thought there was only 1 type of t-rex, it is also cool that 1 might even have feathers. You learn something new every day. The T-rex has always been my favorite type of dinosaur. i think that the t-rex intresting dinosaurs although i wouldn't want to encounter one concidering the six inch long teeth that fill its mouth i think is big enough to swallow a human whole. i would like to see what color a t-rex is and what their feathers looked like, if they were down feathers to keep them warm or if they were for keeping water off or just for show. i think it would be awsome to find a T-rex fossil even if it was just a fragment of a bone it would be awsome.

Ethan I though the same thing, about T-rexes having scales inted of feathers. This changes my perspetive of what it looks like, how large it was, and what it feed on for food. This is a very interesting sobject to taalk about.

I totally agree that we don't have the type of environment to bring them back. I remember seeing a show on the discovery channel about bringing back the sabertooth tiger. I think that would be stupid because there would be a lot of deaths and we just don't need huge deathly animals running around. It would also be bad for the animals.

I was just wondering if they did bring back the T-Rex where would they stay and how much food would they eat?????
Would it even be safe if there were dinosaurs around now?
I agree with Sara if there is no hard core fresh evidence I dont think it would be possible to even experiment on a "new" T-Rex.
I do not think the T-Rex could survive today. This is because humans would be frightend and kill them. The only living ones would live in captivity and be experimented on. So basically they would be icstint in the wild. I think the T-Rex is cool. I thought they had scales, not feathers. I think they are the best dinosaurs,
I always found the T-Rex very interesting because of how it could hunt with those tiny arms and huge head. Also I would never think that the T-Rex could have feathers. In my opinion I think the T -Rex wouldn't be able to survive today because their food source wuld be extinct.

I agree with you 100 percent that it would be awesome to have a tamed T-Rex for a pet. But I don't know if I would want to ride it that would be so werid and scary because wonder if you fall off.

no. there are not enough room for them today. we would have to create a locked up area for them so when they romed around,they would not crush us.
i think t-rex are cool and fun to learn about their history and how our earth was in the past but if they were on the face of the earth today, i would be terrified they would comeand squash me

I totally agree, I think they are a wonderful site too see ! I would love to see one, but then again I wouldn't..Haha but it IS weird how they have small arms and a huge head, it actually does make them unlikely.

Deborah, there have been a lot of dino's with feathers,such as the Velociraptor, but they could not fly. So if dinosaurs can fly with feathers, they still need wings, so the evolution dino plan failed right there if they tried to fly.
@ andrew: I didn't know T-Rexes had feathers either! In pictures and stuff they're always scaley. But how would scientists know what color the skin is and how do they even know that they had feathers? I want some proof!
t-rex's are awesome but sieriously i cant take them serious when they have those little arms and big heads :P

I think the T rex is very cool.I belive that the t rex would not be able to survive in the world today.The reason why is they would not be able to run freely and animals need to also they would eat all of the animals and humans then every thing would be extincted.IT would be better if they where like dog size that would be awesome.

I think it would be really cool to see a live dinasour, for example a T-rex. I would have to agree with you about how they look funny with their giant bodies, but small arms. In the movie how the scientists bring all of the dinasours back to life makes the story more interesting, but I don't think they could in real life. Even if they could I don't think they would because everything goes extinct for a reason.

i like t-rex`s because they are old and they were the most domanint dinosaur of their time.
i disagree with jordan malsbary because if we had a t-rex in this time peroid it would be a terrible thing
