Art and science are very closely related. The great artists used minerals as pigments for their masterpieces. What made their paintings so beautiful. What minerals were used for red? yellow? white? What kind of problems did these cause for Monet, Van Gogh, and Matisse? What does all of this have to do with electronics today like Ipods?

it has to do with electornics by a bunch of old artist like monet explored the prosess that drives computers, ipods and digital cameras in the present.
it caused problems beacause the colors mess up around gas lamps making somethigs like white angels look grayish

selinium wa sused for red paint, lead was used for white, cadnuum and sulfur was used for yellow. I agree with stephine O'leary, sometimes the paint might change color from the way the light reacted with it, causing thewhite paint to change to a grayish color.artists like MOnet used to look at the process of chemicals that are used today in electronics like the i-pod, camras, and laptops and computers.
yellow has cadmium and sulfur
red has a toxic element, selenium ( variation of pigments)
white is lead
What made them so beautiful was the lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mecury.
Matisse used other things to make other colors like blue and green.
The minerals were toxic and caused diseases that made the artists sufer.
Some pigments have such vibrant colors that they are useful in electronics.
Dylan,
It also has to do with electronics because of the vibrant colors in pigments like reds and yellows
