Sedimentry may includ pices of stones shells and other materials. Sediment is cemented into rock. If gravel or peppels are part of the sediment, The rock forms conglomerate.

Sedimentary rocks can be found anywhere rock particles, and usually formed in water.
Sandstone, liumestone, Shale, Conglomerate.
Rocks are broken up into smaller pieces by weather such as wind, water, and ice. These small pieces of rock turn into pebbles, gravel, sand, and clay. They tumble down rivers and streams. These pieces settle in a new place and begin to pile up and the sediments form flat layers. Then the pieces become pressed together and form solid rock called sedimentary rock.

Sedimentry rocks are formed from sediments pilling up whyen also under a lot of pressure forming these rocks. Sedimentary rocks come from compact surface materials such as clays, quarts, sand, gravel and other materials found on the surface of the crust. There are two different kinds of sedimentary rocks, the first is clastic and the othe is nonclastic because of the properties scientists can tell the difference. You can find these on creek, beds river beds, and other places where sediments have been washed down a river or creek.

Sedimentary rocks are born cool and on earth's surface, but mainly underwater. Some examples would be sandstone. it comes from the sediment in sand.a type of sedimentry rock is organic. An example of this is limestone also know as carbonate. Another type is chemical rock. an example of this is gypsum. This type of chemical sedimentary rock is formed after calcite. I learned that there isn't just one type of sedimentary rock, which is what I thought before.

sedimentary rocks are classiied in 4 different categories. they are:
1.Clastic sedimentary rocks; these rocks are formed from gravel, sand, clay and mud.
2.Organic sedimentary rocks; these rocks are when the rock is made from living organisms, like plankton on the bottom of the ocean floor.
3.Chemical sedimentary rocks;shallow seas sometimes allow larger areas to become isolated then dry up...then the seawater gets more concentrated, minerals form, starting with calcite then to gypsum and last halite.

ignoeus rocks begin as hot fluid matrials.the word igneous comes from latin word for fire. Igneous rocks form in three main places: where lithospheric plates pull apart at mid-ocean ridges, where plates come together at subduction zones and where continental crust is pushed together, making it thicker and allowing it to heat to melting.

The most common set of sedimentary rocks consist of the granular materials that occur in sediment: mud and sand and gravel and clay. Sediment mostly consists of surface minerals — quartz and clays — that are made by the physical breakdown and chemical alteration of rocks. These are carried away by water or wind and laid down in a different place. Sediment may also include pieces of stones and shells and other objects, not just grains of pure minerals. some examples of these rocks are clastic, organic, and chemical.
