Earth Day was last Friday, over our spring break. We weren't here at school to talk about the many events that go on across the country to celebrate Earth day, so I thought I would post this site. Check it out and read about just a few of the things that are done to celebrate our Earth. Did you know April 22 was Earth Day? Did you do anything for Earth Day?
What is something you could do? We need to remember that just because Earth day is recognized on one specific date, every day we need to take steps to care for our Earth!

Yes, i knew that it was earth day. I tried to use less water, and i kept turning off lights. I would have planted something, but i'm terrible with plants. I could've attended an earth day event, but i didn't know of any in cincinnati....
on earth day i watched the nickelodeon specials and then went to go out swim in the sun :)
on sunday-to celebrate with my family- we recycled ALOT of cans. :) my aunt got a new maple tree that we are going to plant in the summer
I didn't realize it was Earth Day until I saw it on tv. I recycled more that day and we used those swirly lights in every room now.

I knew it was Earth day. I tried turning off lights that didnt need to be on and turned off the water when I was brushing my teeth. I also played outside with my sisters and brother. I could've switched the light bulbs to the energy saving ones btu I didnt have any, at least that I knew of.
I totally knew that it was Earth Day this past Friday. How could I forget such an important day? Instead of drinking out of a plastic waterbottle, I drank out of one of my washable waterbottles. Maybe, we can start a blog about Earth and how we can help her heal...?
i didnt do anything for eath day but i wish i did. i could have saved electicity by not watching tv or saved water by turning off the faucet when i dont need it. there ae several more things i could have done.
I knew that April 22 was Earth Day. When my family got home from Florida, I planted some tulips, Azaleas, some poppies and an apple tree in my backyard. I bought a recycling bin for my family to use, so we could recycle many things that we usually throw away. I plant flowers all the time (I help my Aunt, who's a florist) but I plant more on Earth Day.
no i diddnt know that it was earth day. i think our school should help out and miss a day of school and we'll go outside or a park and we all could clean it up and pick up trash.

on earth day it was my dads birthday and i went to eat chinese and it was amazing.!!!!!!!!!
yes i did know that earth day was on that day.
What i did was when i was out in california, my 2 year old cousin's school was collecting empty water bottles and card board so i brought some of my stuff there instead of throwing it away.
and yes....i just realized that i usually only recycle or help this earth on earth day. I usually don't do it every day.
and another thing i just thought about...why don't we have some sort of a recycling system in the lunch room? think about how many things inside kids lunches get thrown away in the garbage. that is awful and that could be another step to our school helping out the environment.
that is a good idea kristan!!!! we would get out of school (ha ha) and we would be helping the environment all at the same time!!
but it is more about helping out rather that missing school.
