Update on Japan

This article talks about the radioactive water spills which have occurred in nuclear plants in Japan.  Read the information and leave your thoughts.  Imagine surviving such a deadly earthquake and tsunami and now face the risk of being exposed to deadly radiation.  What would you do?

Radiation Spills

I think it would be horrible to see your home be destroyed like that because first the earthquake and tsunami is horrible enough but now there are so many nuclear problems and it would be horrilbe. I wouldn't be able to stay theree even if it was my home because I would be too afraid that someting would happen to me or my family.

I think it's sad that those who have survived the earthquake and tsunami have been through so much already and now thay have to face being exposed to radiation.

Plutonium -also breaks down very slowly, so it remains dangerously radioactive for hundreds of thousands of years. And if you inhale it, it's there and it stays there forever.

I don't know what I would do if I were to experience what these people are experiencing. It would take me such a long time to get through each day without everything that I used to have. I feel really sorry for everyone who has suffered in anyway from this tragedy.

it is so sad about everything in japan. my heart goes out to all of those people. it would be terrible
to have to locate my family members and at the same time evacuate my house after it was already destroyed enough. :(
poor japan people!!!!

I agree with Ally Oaks.It would be sad to lose your home and losing your home is enough by itself we don't need deadly radiation too.

I would be very upeset about losing my home and belongings. You would have to pretty much start your whole life over because of the earthquake and tsunami, and now radiation. I think if i survived through these disasters that i would move somewhere safe and where i wouldnt have to worry as much about my home, family, and friends.

I think it would be terrible to lose your home to a deadly earthquake & tsunami. Now, with all the radiation levels not being elevated their food and water has been contaminated. Also, if we knoew that this was going to come earlier even thugh it was my home I would've left like everyone else.

I agree with Elizabeth Spaulding:
I agree with her because I do think its sad that those who have survivedthe earthquake & tsunami have been through much already and now they all have to deal with high radiation levels.

I feel so bad for the people in Japan, they are in a pretty hard situation and the radation has spread to raw produce, milk and other things that are extremly harmful. If i were in Japan i would be very afraid becasue if you eat the radiation you could die and radiation also causes cancer. Which can lead to death in the future. I would move to somewhere safe and stayaway from radiaton also i would get checked for radiation poisonning becasue i would not want to deal with the long term disease of cancer or dying instantly.

I would feel like my life is torn up, if I didn't die from the tsunami or earthquake yet I would rather die than living in horrible pain. Or I would find a way out of Japan and go somewhere else.

I would absoulty hate seeing my home gone and all my familys and friends. its just very depressing about what happend in Japan. But ive herd that they are getting a little better and that they are brilliant people so they can solve this situation that they are in right now.

I would try my best to get as far away from there as I could. I would try to keep my own supply of water and produce until they got control of the situation. I would also be worried about my health. I would even try to fly out of Japan until the whole situation got fixed with houses getting rebuilt and radioactive waste got cleaned up.

@ Sara Dirr
I would also be worried about eating the waste and getting cancer too. WHat if they could find a way to keep people healthy while they are there. Would you still stay there then if you lived there?
